the only advantages i see using water trident over coward is that water trident is eailsy more spammable since its cooltime and it uses 5 energy and it deals some damage. another thing is that you dont have to use the water trident/awe combo, u can also spam it on warriors without using awe, and you also can get some armor bonuses from water magic like
[card]Armor of Frost[/card] [card]Kinetic Armor[/card](use kinetic if u spam trident)
what do you think?

The post about Coward came to the conclusion that it was bad.
This is bad for the same reason - PvE casters generally don't move around enough to get KDed by Water Trident.

But i also added that water trident could be useful on warriors, awe would work with dervs and sins, but water trident by itself is a good annoyer.

Kinetic Armor is Earth Magic. Paragons have enough armour anyway.
If you want to Daze, use Stunning Strike. If you want melees to stop harassing your soft targets use Ward Against Melee, Aegis, Defensive Anthem, Enfeebling Blood, etc... Mass blocks or mass weakness is going to be more effective than maybe KDing one enemy for 2 seconds.

Alright so water trident is a bad skill for para, then is earth magic best choice?

Honestly, the best choice would be changing secondaries to something more useful, or using Conjure of some type.

If you absolutely must use your secondary, then Earth Magic for Ward Against Melee. Given that your typical paragon is going to be using attributes in three trees already adding another to the equation is going to make you weaker all around.

Realistically you would never hit a caster with Water Trident in PvE.
Against physicals you're basically going to spend 5 energy and your elite slot to prevent one or two attacks each cast because the enemy is KDed every so often. You will run out of energy fast since you're not attacking and thus not shouting with a base energy of 30.

IMO You move like a dwarf is the best option in PVE for unconditional knockdown
